When you are putting the address of your church and/or venue location on your wedding invitation, it is very common that you think you need to add the zip code. Think again and that is why we are here to help you and guide you.
The answer is simple: zip codes are only needed when mailing and should only be included on the outer envelope and response card envelope. It is proper etiquette to not include the zip code on the formal invitation (and reception card if needed) when you give the address of the event location. It is not needed and it will only clutter the address line.
